Tony Cavedon

Self-Directed Homeshare Coach

Tony’s Homeshare journey began under the mentorship of HANZA founder Beris Campbell, sparking a lifelong passion for the model. With a professional career spanning 35 years in community services—working alongside older Australians and people living with disability—Tony is a seasoned expert in the field. He previously spearheaded a successful Homeshare program at Uniting Care, where he led a team of coordinators and facilitated more than 30 compatible matches.

A long-standing advocate for the sector, Tony has served as Deputy Chair of the HANZA Board and was instrumental in establishing the Homeshare Community of Practice. Central to Tony’s approach is the unwavering belief that everyone deserves total agency over their living arrangements. He is dedicated to ensuring people are never compelled into residential care or group homes when a community-based solution is possible.

Now focusing his expertise on HANZA’s Self-Directed prototype, Tony finds the model a natural extension of his values. As a Coach, he partners with individuals to navigate the complexities of matching while avoiding common pitfalls. For Tony, Homeshare isn’t just a program—it’s a transformative way of life that he is committed to helping others achieve.
